A share certificate is the most conventional document this house prints, and conventionality is exactly what the Society wanted: an instrument that looks like what it is, so that a member inheriting one recognises it without being told.
The form is set in the house green and oxblood, laid down in a single split-duct pass so the guilloche border shifts from one to the other across the width of the sheet. The counterfoil carries the same border at a smaller scale, which makes a separated certificate and stub obviously a pair.
Numbering
Certificates are numbered in a separate letterpress pass, in a sequence the Society’s registrar controls. We print no numbers of our own and hold no spare numbered stock; unused sheets from each run are returned to the registrar with the delivery.
